Tartan Ambassador at Carnegie Mellon University

Class of 2028

Hometown: Cincinnati, OH

Major: Percussion Performance

My most memorable class is...

Dalcroze Eurhythmics! This class isn't taught at many schools and is pretty unique to CMU! Most music majors have to take it for 2 years (4 semesters), and it is super interesting. I can guarantee it is unlike anything you will ever take! The course philosophy is that the body is the primary instrument, and it trains you to really feel music internally. We also put motion to it! Come check out a class!

A good place to eat on campus is...

Taste of India! My friends and I go there all the time, and the portions are huge! There is always good food!

Something I like to do in Pittsburgh is...

Visiting the museums we have here! We have so many, and we get in for free using our student IDs (Andrew IDs)! I also love going to sporting events around the city.

My favorite CMU tradition is...

Carnival! Carnival is a huge event at CMU. We get Thursday and Friday off from school to celebrate Carnival those days and the weekend. It is exactly that, a large carnival that takes over campus. Rides, tents, and food trucks pop up, and there are also so many different events! You'll have to come see it for yourself!
